Tomato Gravy Curry for Biryani Without Onion and Garlic.........but...........Spicy

Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes --- 5 medium size
  • Poppy seeds --- 2 tablespoons
  • Cashew nuts --- 2 tablespoons
  • Sambar Powder --- 4 tablespoons
  • Coriander powder --- 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric --- 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder --- 2 tablespoons
  • Salt --- to taste
  • Oil or Ghee --- 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds --- 1 tablespoon(optional)

Preparation:

  • Roast Poppy seeds in a pan.
  • Make smooth paste of Tomatoes, Roasted Poppy seeds and Cashew nuts.
  • Now take a pan ,put it on medium flame and pour oil or Ghee.
  • While oil is heating add cumin seeds and Turmeric.
  • Now add the tomato puree you prepared.
  • While stirring it add Sambar powder,Red chili powder, Coriander powder and Salt.
  • Keep it on medium flame and cook it till the raw taste of tomatoes goesoff.

                                   Serve it Hot with any Rice /chapatti/Naan.
