Mirchi Bajji(Mirapakaya Bajji)
Ingredients:
Long green chillies(Bajji Mirchies) --- 10Besan flour --- 2 cups
Rice Flour --- 1 table spoon
Baking soda --- 1/4th teaspoon.
Cumin powder --- 2 teaspoons
Ajwan(Vamu) powder --- 2 teaspoons
Oil --- for Deep Fry
Amchur Powder or Stuffing masala paste
Salt
Masala Paste Preparation:
Ingredients:
Ground nuts --- 3 table spoonsSesame seeds(Til seeds) -- 2 table spoons
Salt --to taste
Tamarind -- Half lemon size soaked in warm water
Method:
Fry ground nuts and sesame seeds with out oil separately. Remove the skin of the ground nuts. Add salt and tamarind to the fried ground nuts and sesame then grind to fine paste.
For serving/garnishing:
Onion --- 1 finely chopped

Lemon --- 1
Mirchi Bajji Preparation:
- Wash green chillies, make a slit on one side of the chillies and carefully remove the seeds using the back side of your teaspoon.If you are a spicy eater, then can leave the seeds as it is.
- Apply little salt inside of Chilli slit or If you want little Sour taste, you can apply little Amchur powder instead of only salt. or Fill the masala paste you prepared.
- Make a smooth but thick batter of gram flour by adding Salt, Ajwain, Baking powder and sufficient Water.
Tip: For crispiness add Rice flour to the batter and it absorbs less oil with rice flour.
- Heat sufficient oil for deep fry in a pan.
- Now dip the stuffed green chillies in the batter and deep fry until golden brown. Remove and drain on a kitchen paper.
- Serve hot with finely chopped onion or with chat masala powder and Lemon if u r not stuffing any thing other than salt in mirchi.
