Tomato Kurma (Tomato Masala Curry)
Ingredients:
Tomato's-
4 medium size, Peanuts-4
table spoons, Thil
seeds-2 table spoons, Coconut
grated-2 tablespoons, Pappy
seeds -2 table spoons, Cashew-1
tablespoon, Coriander
seeds-1 tea spoon,
Onion-1
medium size, Clove-
4, Garlic-
2, Curd
/ Yogurt - 2 table spoons, Green
chili - 2, Jeera
-1/2 teaspoon, Mustard
seeds-1/2 teaspoon, Salt-
to taste, Chili
powder - 1 tablespoon, Turmeric-
1 teaspoon, Oil-
2 tablespoons, Ginger
garlic paste-1 teaspoon, Curry
leaves-6 leaves.
Preparation:
First roast peanuts
,thil and pappy seeds separately.
Prepare masala
paste: Grind roasted items
(peanuts ,thil, pappy seeds), coconut , clove, garlic, onion, cashew, green
chilies, curry leaves and curd (Add some water if required).
Make small holes on
tomatoes with fork. Take a Pan and keep
it on medium flame then pour oil into it. Once the oil become little hot then
add Jeera, mustard seeds while stirring them add 1 teaspoon of ginger garlic
paste ,curry leaves and little turmeric. Add tomatoes (which
you did holes on it) close with lid and
keep it on medium flame tomatoes to be tendered. Now add masala
paste, salt to taste ,1 tablespoon of chili powder and coriander powder then
stir it well without smashing tomatoes. If required add some water to form the
gravy (Keep the lid closed, may be 5-10 minutes). At last garnish it
with coriander leaves and serve hot.
