Instant Cabbage Pickle
Ingredients:
Cabbage -- 2 cups
finely chopped
Methi powder -- 1
teaspoon
Mustard powder
-- 1 teaspoon
Jeera/Cumin seeds --
1 tablespoon
Lemon juice -- 1/2
cup
Red Chili powder -- 3 to 4 tablespoons
Salt -- to taste
Oil
Curry Leaves
Urad Dal -- 1/2
table spoon
Hing -- 1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric
Preparation:
To prepare Methi
powder and Mustard powder, roast mustard seeds and methi seeds separately then
grind them like smooth powder separately.
Take a pan and keep
it on medium flame ,pour 5 to 6 tablespoons of oil. After oil became hot add
chopped cabbage ,stir well and close it with a lid for 5 minutes. If need check
in between to see cabbage is cooked finely. After cabbage is cooked well keep
it aside and let it cool down for 2 minutes. Now add Methi powder, Mustard
powder, Red chili powder, Lemon juice and salt for your taste. Mix it well and
keep aside. Now take a pan for tampering this pickle. keep it on low flame,then
pour5 to 6 tablespoons of oil (if you
are interested take some more oil
because pickle means it requires some extra oil then only it tastes
yummy).After oil heated add Jeera , Urad dal, Curry leaves .After all these r
fried well add little turmeric and Hing ,mix it well and switch off the flame.Then add this mixture
into the cabbage pickle you kept aside and
mix it well.
Now Spicy Cabbage
pickle is ready.
Serve it with Hot
Rice and Ghee, it is Yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy……….
